This model of the HC 4,000 lb Mk I (High Capacity)—a British World War II “blockbuster” bomb—is presented in an exploded view, showing its main components without the typical Amatol explosive filling. The nickname “Cookie” was given to the HC 4,000 lb Mk I by RAF ground crews and airmen, who thought it resembled a giant cylindrical biscuit or cookie: flat-faced, round, and oversized. In another model, I show the bomb fully assembled.
